About Us
Entertaining The Rossendale Valley For 127 Years
Bacup Royal Court Theatre Group put on five amazing productions of their own per year, three amateur productions, and two youth productions. The amateur theatre performs a pantomime in January, a musical in May, and a play in September.
Our two youth theatre groups Bytes & Bests each stage their own show each year.

Our Story
Since the 1890s the theatre has been home to many productions from professional touring shows to amateur dramatic performances.
Monday the 18th of September 1893 saw the building open as a theatre for the first time with a "Grand Opening Night" production of 'Fast Mail'.
The theatre's first amateur dramatic production was "The Arcadian" in November 1936.
Amature dramatics have become a huge part of the theatre's history ever since.
Bring it right to the present day "The Vicar of Dibley" which opened on 21st September 2021.
BAODS welcome from 18 to 100
We are always looking for new people to join our theatre family, so if you have ever wanted to be in the spotlight check out our future planned theatrical shows below for details of audition dates.
