"Volunteering has assisted in getting relevant work experience I needed for my college course. It has been such an asset to have this theatre so local to me, where I can go and help make the magic of theatre a reality.
To me, the theatre is not only a hobby. Its a place where you can meet new friends, engage in new activities and help a local theatre out which is in need. In conclusion if you are thinking of volunteering, do it! It has been the best 2 years of my life, and I'm proud to be part of the family."

For 125 years the Royal Court Theatre (Empire) has been a hub of superb storytelling and vibrant entertainment for Bacup and the region, and there are even more exciting times to come. We see our volunteer team as one of the most important part of our journey and we provide a wide range of opportunities to the people of Bacup and beyond, enhancing the quality of the work we do by utilising your skills, passion and dedication.
